The IDOS research programme "Inter- and Transnational Cooperation” is looking to hire a
Researcher (m/f/diverse)
Full time 100% (39 hours/week)
Salary from € 55,000 p.a. up to € 80,000 p.a.
(German public sector tariff, EG13 or EG14 TVöD Bund depending on qualifications)
Position No. 2023-A01-04
The position may be filled as of 1 January 2024 and is limited until 31 December 2026. The position is subject to final approval of funds.
The position is part of a research project on the role of effectiveness and efficiency as guiding concepts in development politics. The project explores the concrete interpretation and application of these terms in the context of a broader global results orientation ("results agenda") and alternative approaches ("adaptive development"). Specifically, effectiveness and efficiency will be defined as context-dependent standards, in order to explore three focal points of development politics: 1) quality standards and data for projects and processes; 2) thematic orientation of the policy field towards global public goods; 3) geopoliticisation of international standards.
IDOS offers an inspiring, family-friendly working environment at the interface of research and policy advice, with ample opportunities to engage in international discussions, political processes and scientific debates.
In the case of equal qualification, physically challenged persons will be given preference. We want to promote the diversity of our employees and would like applications from women, men and diverse people.
For further questions, please contact Heiner Janus (heiner.janus@idos-research.de).
