The German Institute of Development and Sustainability (IDOS) is one of the world’s leading research institutions and think tanks for global sustainable development. It contributes, through research, policy advice and training, to finding answers to global questions affecting our future.
The programme "Inter- and Transnational Cooperation" is looking to recruit a Project Lead for Shaping Futures – African-European Network on Development and Sustainability from 01st February 2024, initially for a fixed term until 31.12.2026.

Shaping Futures is an international, English-language training and dialogue format hosted by IDOS in Bonn, Germany. It aims at early career professionals from selected African countries (https://www.idos-research.de/en/training/shaping-futures-academy/). The programme’s components include digital formats and annual face-to-face elements in Bonn, with trips to Berlin and Brussels, as well as further, research-based collaboration with various actors from African countries. Our focus is on developing skills and innovation for sustainable development, based on the Agenda 2063 and the 2030 Agenda. Shaping Futures is embedded in IDOS’ research context that works on issues of global knowledge cooperation. It builds on and develops synergies with other training and research activities at IDOS.
