The German Institute of Development and Sustainability gGmbH (IDOS) is one of the leading research institutes in the field of sustainable development and development policy. Through excellent research, policy advice and training, the institute contributes to finding solutions to global challenges.
To support research staff with different tasks, the Programme “Transformation of Economic and Social Systems” at IDOS is looking for a research assistant to contribute to the research project “Fair Globalisation II”. The project analyses current topics in international trade, investment and finance through an economic and political lens. It is guided by the question of how to create a global economic order that contributes to achieving the objectives of the 2030 Agenda and thereby ensures a fairer and more inclusive globalisation. Tasks typically include literature and data searches, literature reviews, quantitative tasks such as merging, cleaning and/or data analysis, and facilitation in and around workshops and conferences. Stata or R skills and a background in economics are strong assets.
Preferred start: beginning or mid-January; applications to Tim.Vogel@idos-research.de using “RA Fair Globalisation” as the subject line.
The assistants will work around 8 hours per week, spread over two working days. Working at IDOS premises is required. Remuneration is based on the usual rates for students and academic assistants.
People with disabilities will be preferred if equally qualified.
In your application email, please confirm how long you will be enrolled at a German University and that you are based in Bonn or the vicinity and able to commute to the office. Please refrain from an application if you do not fulfil the criteria mentioned above.
Please send your applications with a detailed CV, letter of motivation and proof of university enrollment to the above-mentioned email address.

Interviews will take place online.
