Coming from the northeast, Autobahnring Köln: take Bundesautobahn A59 to Autobahnkreuz/intersection Bonn-Ost. Merge onto A562 towards Bonn-Bad Godesberg via the southern Rhine bridge (Konrad-Adenauer-Brücke). Take the second exit after the bridge and merge right onto the B9 (Godesberger Allee) towards Bonn(see map below). Stay in the right-hand lane and follow the signs for "Bundesnetzagentur”. After 1200m, turn right into Heussalleeand after 150m turn right again into Winston-Churchill-Straße. Straight ahead is the office building of the IDOS at Tulpenfeld 6.

Coming from the southeast, Autobahn A3 from Frankfurt: take exit/Ausfahrt Siebengebirge heading towards Königswinter. In Königswinter take the B42 towards Bonn until you reach the Autobahnkreuz / intersection Bonn-Ost. Exit onto the autobahn A562 towards Bonn-Bad Godesberg and cross the southern Rhine bridge/ (Konrad-Adenauer-Brücke). Take the second exit after the bridge and merge right onto the B 9 (Godesberger Allee) towards Bonn (see map below). Stay in the right-hand lane and follow the signs for "Bundesnetzagentur”. After 1200m, turn right into Heussallee and after 150m turn right again into Winston-Churchill-Straße. Straight ahead is the office building of the IDOS at Tulpenfeld 6.

Coming from the south, Autobahn A 61 from Koblenz: drive to the Autobahnkreuz/ intersection Meckenheim and merge onto the A 565 towardsBonn (see map below). Leave the autobahn at the exit / Ausfahrt Bonn-Poppelsdorf and drive on the B9 towardsBonn-Bad Godesberg via the Reuterbrücke (railroad bridge). On the bridge merge to your left towardsBonn-Bad Godesberg. On the bridge remain left following the sign “Bundeshaus”. At first, the lane goes straight ahead and then makes a sharp right turn. At the third traffic light turn left into Heussallee (towards "Bundeshaus" and "Bundesministerium für wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung"), and 150m turn into Winston-Churchill-Straße. After 1200m, turn right into Heussallee and after 150m turn right again into Winston-Churchill-Straße. Straight ahead is the office building of the IDOS at Tulpenfeld 6.

Coming from the northwest or west from Köln/Cologne or Aachen on Autobahn A55: Continue to the intersection / Autobahnkreuz Bonn-Nord and merge onto the A565 towards Bonn-Bad Godesberg / Koblenz (see map below). Leave the autobahn at the exit/Ausfahrt Bonn-Poppelsdorf and continue on the B9 towards Bonn-Bad Godesberg via the Reuterbrücke (railroad bridge). On the bridge remain left following the sign “Bundeshaus”. At first the lane goes straight ahead and then makes a sharp right turn. By train / subway / bus

The best way to reach the German Institute of Development and Sustainability (IDOS) is to take the railway station Bonn UN-Campus for the trains RE5/RB26/RB48 or by subway (lines U16/63 or U66) or by bus (lines 610 and 611) from BonnCentral Station (Hauptbahnhof).

• Traveling by train RE 5/RB 26/RB 48 please take the railway station Bonn UN-Campus. Within  7 minutes walking distances, you follow the Genscherallee, cross the main road B9 and take the first driveway on your right.

• Take the U-Bahn (Subway) U 16 / U 63 or U 66 towards “Bad Honnef / Bad Godesberg” and get off at the station “Heussallee / Museumsmeile”.

• You may buy your ticket at vending machines either at the Station or on board (choose ticket type 1b; 2.80 Euro, coins only).

• Subway services are available directly to the DIE from ICE Bahnhof Siegburg/Bonn using subway line U66 (i.e. stop Heussallee/Museumsmeile, about 30 minutes).

• Cologne/Bonn Airport offers an express bus service (SB 60). The bus leaves every 20 minutes, please follow the signs at the airport.The ride to Bonn central station (Hauptbahnhof) takes about 30 minutes.
