Library and Publications

The library of the Institute has about 15.000 volumes, 150 periodicals and the most important German and English daily and weekly newspapers. In addition to standard references, the library maintains professional literature for each field of research and policy advice of its research staff. 

The Institute places great value in maintaining and evaluating national and international periodicals and the daily press according to the respective research topics while following our research and policy advice activities and the rules of the German Information Network International Relations and Area Studies (Fachinformationsverbund Internationale Beziehungen und Länderkunde FIV-IBLK). To meet research, policy advice and training requirements, up-to-date information on research findings and current opinion is thus readily available.

 External book orders or the producing of paper copies cannot be accepted. For a fee of € 0.05 per page,  users have the possibility to copy from books and magazines. Please mind the copyright.
