In the margins of the UNFCCC Bonn Climate Change Conference (SB62), the German Institute of Development and Sustainability (IDOS), in collaboration with the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and Save the Children will host a roundtable discussion.

The event will explore practical strategies to accelerate health and climate change adaptation, with a particular focus on national-level implementation. It will examine the role of the Global Goal on Adaptation (GGA) in supporting the development of shared health indicators, and how these can enhance the effectiveness of national health and climate adaptation efforts. The discussion will also consider how well these indicators align with national priorities and whether they capture progress in climate-health initiatives led by governments and key partners. Overall, the event aims to drive the implementation of integrated climate and health actions, support the development of climate-resilient health systems, and promote equitable, sustainable outcomes for the populations most affected by climate change.
