Mexico is the second largest country in Latin America, G20-member and a Strategic Partner of the EU - thus a principal player for the EU to make the European Green Deal work globally. But important challenges lie ahead in EU-Mexico climate relations, with environmental concerns featuring low in Mexico's current government. What sort of partner can Mexico be in the external dimension of the EU Green Deal?
