Busan Building Block on Managing Diversity and Reducing Fragmentation
Reducing fragmentation and effectively managing the diversity of aid has been increasingly recognized as a challenge since the Paris Declaration on Aid Effectiveness in 2005. The 4th High Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness in Busan (2011) addressed the issue by agreeing on a set of commitments. The stocktaking report aims at tracking the status and progress made on commitments formulated in §25 of the Busan Partnership document. It highlights emerging trends and practices with regards to managing diversity and reducing fragmentation, identifies promising ways and obstacles for boosting further progress in this area and tables recommendations to the Global Partnership for Effective Development Cooperation and the international community.
