Shrinking spaces in the Middle East and North Africa: supporting resilience of civil society

CSOs face mounting challenges due to surveillance and persecution. Their work in advancing inclusive development is increasingly criminalised. This is worrying, since a free civil society is key for human development. Despite shrinking spaces there are at least seven ways to support civil society.
