Feeling the pressure: how interest pressures limit carbon taxation in Vietnam

Many countries implement carbon taxation to reduce emissions, but some groups may influence government to change policy in their favour. Such interest pressures include any lobbying, corporate donations, charitable giving, and advocacy between societal groups and government with the aim to influence policy. How influential are these interest pressures? In this blog, I show how interest pressures in Vietnam prevented government from adopting efficient carbon taxation.
