This contribution addresses the issue of seasonal migration as a potential coping or adaptation strategy to the adverse effects of climate change. It emphasizes that the adaptation concept is not really adequate for the analysis of these and other migration patterns. This analysis rather needs a wider focus and wider concepts, respectively.
