Around the world, cities must anticipate how climate change will shape who moves, who stays and who arrives. They must plan for this through land-use planning and long-term adaptation strategies while also ensuring rapid and inclusive disaster responses. This session brings together representatives from city networks and local leaders to share first-hand experiences of how local governments anticipate, plan for and respond to climate mobility, from sudden displacement and forced immobility to long-term recovery processes.
