Localizing Climate Action in Displacement Contexts: Bridging Implementation Gaps in Times of Uncertainty

Ort / Datum

German Institute of Development and Sustainability (IDOS)

This COP side event will explore what is needed for localization to help bridge the gap between climate commitments and the effective implementation of climate resilience solutions for affected people in displacement contexts. It will bring together perspectives from different levels of governance and development cooperation to examine what enables local actors to contribute effectively to climate resilience efforts, how international partners can support locally led implementation, and what needs to change for these approaches to remain effective in times of uncertainty.
