Veranstalter

German Development Institute / Deutsches Institut für Entwicklungspolitik (DIE), Network of Southern Think Tanks (NeST)

The panelists presented empirical evidence on South-South cooperation (SSC) from their respective countries and related it to the new concept of Total Official Support to Sustainable Development (TOSSD), presently considered by the OECD Development Assistance Committee. On the basis of such findings, the session addressed the question of convergence and discrepancy between SSC and aid of traditional donors. This facilitated a better understanding of current dynamics in the international system of development cooperation.
