Weltwirtschaft und Entwicklungsfinanzierung

Wie sollte der weltwirtschaftliche Ordnungsrahmen ausgestaltet werden, um die Transformation der internationalen und nationalen Wirtschaft zu mehr Nachhaltigkeit zu unterstützen und nachhaltige Zukünfte zu gestalten? Damit die globale Transformation mit Blick auf das Zielsystem der Agenda 2030 für nachhaltige Entwicklung gelingt, muss die Global Economic Governance weiter angepasst werden, um 1) den Strukturwandel der Wirtschaft zu ökologischer Nachhaltigkeit zu unterstützen, 2) einen faireren Regelrahmen für die Weltwirtschaft zu entwickeln, welcher Armut und wirtschaftliche Ungleichheit reduziert statt sie noch weiter zu fördern und 3) die zunehmende Bedeutung der Schwellenländer in einer multipolaren Weltordnung widerzuspiegeln und damit dem globalen Ordnungsrahmen und seinen Institutionen ein größeres Maß an Legitimität zu geben.

Forscher*innen am IDOS untersuchen, welche Rolle unterschiedliche Akteur*innen und Institutionen in dieser Neuordnung des globalen Handels-, Investitions-, und Finanzsystems spielen, wie zum Beispiel die Welthandelsorganisation (WTO), internationale Finanzinstitutionen einschließlich Entwicklungsbanken oder die G20.
