Digitalisation Towards Sustainable Development

MGG-PRODIGEES Authors Workshop

Nice, France, 21.09.2022 bis 24.09.2022

German Institute of Development and Sustainability (IDOS), Centre International de Formation Européenne (CIFE)

The workshop brings together scholars from the MGG network and beyond interested and specialising in digitalisation and sustainable development with a focus on implications for governance and society. The main objective is to develop publication projects in cross-border teams of authors, incl. high-quality comparative conceptual or empirical research, policy advice to shape technological trajectories towards an alignment with the global sustainability agenda, and contributions on capacity-development formats. In this way, the event contributes to the creation of a deeper understanding of the interconnection of digitalisation and sustainable development with a particular view on governance and society, allows for the reflection on digitalisation experiences in different world regions, and strengthens the academic networks involved.

The workshop is jointly organised by the German Institute of Development and Sustainability (IDOS) and the Centre International de Formation Européenne (CIFE) in the framework of the PRODIGEES project of the Managing Global Governance (MGG) programme with financial support from the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
