German Development Institute / Deutsches Institut für Entwicklungspolitik (DIE) & Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN). In Cooperation with: ICC Deutschland. International Chamber of Commerce
In August 2012 UN Secretary-General Ban Ki Moon announced the launch of the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN). The Solutions Network will mobilise scientific and technical expertise from academia, civil society, and the private sector to promote transformational solutions initiatives in support of sustainable development around the globe. The Solutions Network will also provide expert advice to the various processes on the global policy agenda, including to the High-level Panel on the Post-2015 Development Agenda to which former German President Horst Köhler is a prominent member.
How can the world’s sustainable development challenges be addressed? Where does the post-2015 debate stand and how might it evolve? How can the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) agreed upon at the Rio+20 conference be combined? How could business and science contribute to the Post-MDG and SDG processes? These and other questions will be discussed by this panel of high-level experts.
