Funded by the German Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR), within the strategy of its platform Research for Sustainability (Forschung für Nachhaltigkeit, FONA), the INTERFACES Project works with four other regional projects to strengthen the integration, coherence and reach in the area of sustainable land management (website).

In celebration and recognition of this year’s Desertification and Drought Day 2026 “Rangelands: Recognize. Respect. Restore”, the INTERFACES team at IDOS in collaboration with the NGO Let’s Plant! e.V. and the project Livesys of Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) organized an evening event aiming to foster exchange and science-policy-practitioner networking among organizations and people engaged in combatting desertification, soil degradation and drought. The event included an engaging panel discussion and an interactive market place.
