Higher tax revenues in developing countries in combination with improved international co-operation on tax matters constitutes a key aspect of the post-2015 agenda. However, positive developments in recent years should not mask the fact that this part of the agenda still needs to be spurred on further. The founding of the AIIB may be interpreted as signalling the end of US hegemony within the international system of development banks.
