The ClimEQ consortium project funded by Swedish Agency FORMAS aims at analysing causes and consequences of policy coherence between climate change, reducing inequality and other SDGs and to provide tools to identify synergies and make transparent trade-offs in different socio-economic and political contexts. In the context of the project, the Postdoc/Senior researcher will further the development and dissemination of the online tool NDC-SDG Connections and contribute to empirical case study work on multilevel governance for just energy transitions.
In its current phase (2023-2025), the Klimalog project funded by the German Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) focuses on analysing multilevel climate governance and policies of international cooperation that strive towards a climate-resilient and ecologically sensitive just transformation. The postdoc/senior researcher will contribute research and policy advice on just energy transitions and NDC implementation as supported by German and European development policy and corresponding partnership approaches for coal phase-out. The working time will be split equally between the two projects.
The position is aimed at a postdoc/senior researcher with prior experience in climate and energy governance who wishes to deepen research on just energy transitions and interactions between climate actions and the SDGs, and engage in research-based policy advice.
